
How many times have we done this? Working away on an important document, we need to leave quickly so we just hit ‘save’ and go. When we come back to work on the document, you can pretty much guarantee it won’t be in the most recent files any more and you didn’t save it where you should have! My colleagues do this all of the time, and then I’ve got to try and find it for them! Thankfully, there is now a nifty solution.
Last Changed Files is a free little program which quickly searches your computer for the 100 files which have been modified most recently. It’s dead easy to install and use, and with a bit of luck will find that file that you saved somewhere, much quicker than searching about trying approximate filenames on Windows’ search facility.
I can see this one saving me considerable time in the future!
