I’ve been reading on ProBlogger about how important it is to have a logo for your site. I’m obviously not a professional blogger and don’t intend to become one, but I thought I’d join in, so here’s my new logo!
Mine is a very simple logo made on one of the free logo creators, in fact it looks pretty similar to their own logo, so I won’t be winning any awards…
But looking at other sites around the net, it’s interesting how the level of professionalism in their appearance can effect how we look at the content. It’s exactly the same as the real world – if I go to a meeting in jeans and trainers, not only would there be a good chance I’d lose my job, but I wouldn’t be surprised that the client would be less impressed with what I said than if I did exactly the same but wearing my usual smart suit and well ironed shirt!
The same must apply to our online brand – if we look good, then people will actually believe our content to be better than the same content on a shabby site. What does your appearance say about you?
