I’ve got a hunch

I’ve been away from my blog, and the online world in general, for ages, having had lots of exciting things going on in my real life.  As ever the tech world moves on apace, and there’s load to catch up on!

So what’s new?  Well loads of stuff, but the first thing I’ve played with is a new site called Hunch.

Hunch is a site designed to help you make decisions.  Firstly it asks some questions to help it ‘learn’ about you and then you can start to use it.

Does it work?

Well as a test, I firstly went through the learning session and then I tried a topic on choosing a new car.  I was asked a few questions but not a huge number and then the site suggested some cars.  The cars picked were, in first place, the car I drive now, and in second place, the car I’ve been thinking about buying!

I guess that wasn’t a technical test, but I’m impressed so far, so I’ll keep playing with hunch and see if it can help me.  Perhaps I’ll ask it what to have for dinner!
