What’s that gadget?

I love gadgets.  Love buying them, playing with them, and occasionally even using them for some helpful purpose!  There’s plenty of ways to find out about new gadgets, but I like the idea of a community website for people to add details of their gadgets and review them etc.

Gdgt is a new site doing just that.  People seem to be signing up in drove and lots of reviews are appearing.  You can have a widget for your own site, showing which gadgets you have/had/would like, which is a nice way of drawing people in – only issue at the moment is I can’t figure out how to use it, hopefully Gdgt will improve that.

It’s early days for the site as yet, but with the number of people about who are into their gadgets, I can see this doing well.  One criticism from me at the moment is that the site is very USA-centric (as many Silicon Valley based sites tend to be in their early days), so I can click through to advertisers to buy the gadget in the US, but that’s not a lot of use to me in the UK.  I’m sure they’ll sort that in time though.
